Alt Ordo Is Getting Built
170 backers put us over the goal. 24 hours left to join the campaign
We hit the goal team. Thank you all. All 170+ of you.
170 of you backed Alt Ordo on Kickstarter, which was enough to push us over the line with 24 hours left. This app is getting built. Joe and I have been chipping away at this in one form or another since the Acorn days ended, some years harder than others, and honestly we didn’t know for sure whether this idea had an audience until this year. Turns out it does.
For anyone wondering where the funds go: version one of the app. People, Places, and Systems. In plain terms, that means helping you find other folks who want to live this way, helping you find land and towns where the zoning won’t fight you the whole way, and then the practical layer underneath it all, meaning shelter, energy, water, and food. All of that was in the original promise and all of it is now covered, so everyone who backed gets exactly what they signed up for.
This campaign has about 24 hours left. Whatever comes in over the goal doesn’t sit in an account somewhere, it goes straight into making the launch better. More places on the map, better land and zoning data, a community section that isn’t empty on day one. If you’ve been reading these emails and thinking about it, this is the end of the line, because Kickstarter pricing disappears when the clock runs out. Join us!
If you already backed, or this just isn’t your thing, ignore all of that. This email is a thank-you either way.
We do have one ask. Most of you know at least one person who can’t stop talking about buying land, or building a tiny house, or getting out from under rent. Forward this to them. Almost everything good that’s happened with this project came from somebody telling somebody. We haven’t run paid ads.
Back Alt Ordo on Kickstarter - 24 hours left
Have a great day all. We’ll see you out there.
